- HFDC purchases trees from farmers, panchayats and institutions
within and outside State on a price fixed from time to time based
on market parameters.
- The Corporation fells and converts trees from forest and
non-forest lands.
- Sale of round timber, pulp and firewood from depots by open
auction.
- Raising of plantation on government and institutional lands on
contract basis.
- Manufacture and supply of polythene bags and woven bags to the
Forest Department.
- Manufacture and supply of barbed wire and concrete fence post
to the Forest Department.
- Procurement and supply of paint, fertilizer, insecticide,
pesticide, and charcoal to the Forest Department.
- Procurement and supply of water tanker, trolleys, irrigation
system, tree guards and publicity board to the Forest Department.
- HFDC is supporting the ecotourism works to be undertaken by
the Forest Department.
- HFDC has got the plan approved by the Board of Directors for
establishing the saw-mills for value addition and producing
variety of wood products.
- Support of research work undertaken by the DCF (R&T).
- Conducts one week refresher course of IFS officers of other
States sponsored by the Government of India.

Capital of the Corporation is Rs. 20,03,000/-. There are 2003
shares of Rs. 1000/- each of the company. Two thousand shares have
been allotted in the name of Governor of Haryana through the
Principal Secretary, Forest Department and one share each held by
three shareholders if the state Government, they are: |
- Financial Commissioner & Principal Secretary, Forest
Department,
- Financial Commissioner & Principal Secretary, Finance
Department, and
- Principal Chief Conservator of Forests.

The annual turnover, profit before tax and profit after tax of HFDC since financial year 2000-2001 is given below. The annual turnover of HFDC depends upon the volume of felling and conversion of timber and wood and also on the market price of timber and wood. Total turnover during the year 2008-09 is Rs. 3142.92 lac, which is 62.7% more than that of 2007-08 (Rs. 1932.11 lac). |

During the year 2009-10, an interim dividend @ 20% i.e. Rs. 4.006 lac has been paid to the State Government. In previous years i.e. during the year 2002-03, a dividend of Rs. 10.015 lac @50% had been paid to the State Government. During the year 2003-04 and 2004-05, a dividend of Rs. 3.00 lac @15% in each year had been paid to the State Government. During the year 2005-06, a dividend of Rs. 2.003 lac @10% had been paid to the State Government. During 2006-07, a dividend of Rs. 10.015 lac @50% had been paid to the State Government. Forest Department has earmarked certain forest areas to the HFDC for the purpose of felling of trees as per approved working plans. HFDC pays prices of such trees to the Forest Department as royalty. HFDC pays same prices of trees to the Forest Department as to the farmers, institutions and individuals fixed by the Board of Directors from time to time. In case of dead and dry trees, HFDC pays 65% of the purchase price. During 2008-09, HFDC paid Rs. 742.45 lac to the Forest Department as royalty. |

The accounts of the year 2007-08 have been finalized and Balance Sheets have been adopted by the shareholders in the Annual General Meetings. The Balance Sheet of 2008-09 is audited by Accountant General Haryana. Accounts of HFDC have been in arrears due to unavoidable reasons. A time schedule for the audit of previous years as approved by the Board of Directors has been given to the auditors for necessary action. The provisional Balance Sheets up to 2009-10 have been prepared by the management of HFDC with the help of Internal Auditors. It is expected that the arrears of accounts will be cleared up to 31st December 2010. Financial figures of 2009-10 are based on provisional balance sheet. There may be marginal changes in financial figures in the Balance Sheet. |

The management has prepared the Balance Sheets with the help of Internal Auditors. The financial results have been given on the basis of these provisional Balance Sheets. The Statutory Auditors, M/S. Kumar Jindal & Company, appointed by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India has audited the Balance Sheet of 2004-05 and sent it to Auditor General, Haryana for final comments. The CAG has now appointed M/S. Gandhi Minocha & Company as Statutory Auditors for the year 2005-06 to 2008-09. Comptroller and Accountant General of India has been requested to appoint Statutory Auditor w.e.f. 2009-10 onwards.
